What is The Island of St. Drogo?

St. Drogo was the Saint of the Unattractive (and coffee). The small island is located in the Caribbean between Cuba and Mexico. It used to be a prime vacationing spot for wealth elites, influencers, high rollers and crypto masterminds but that all changed when the local iguana population rebelled and drove them all away. The people ran in such haste that they left behind many of their belongings including clothes, jewelry and more. The iguanas assumed ownership of these things and even tried to adopt their personas. Since tourism was the primary source of income for many and St. Drogo has fallen into chaos with little food or services available to the population. This has caused even more strife because not only is the island full of ill-tempered iguanas but they are also quite hangry as well!

What is The Department of Anger Management (DAM)?

In order to facilitate basic services and provide essentials the iguanas formed The Department of Anger Management. The first requirement the DAM established was that all iguanas needed to register, adopt a name and pose for a photo ID. This information is then uploaded to OpenSea.io as NFTs. Aside from posting pictures of iguanas and creating ill-tempered propaganda the DAM really doesn't provide much benefit to the residents of St. Drogo...yet.

What are NFTs?

NFT stands for "Non-Fungible Token" which is a digital item that is stored and encrypted on the blockchain. When you purchase an NFT you can store it in your virtual wallet and you control the IP rights to that property. Its much like going to an art gallery and purchasing a painting. You can buy, sell and trade NFTs with other collectors. An NFT can also be used as a form of membership to a community which may offer benefits and other cool perks.

Why own an Ill Tempered Iguana NFT?

When you purchase an Ill Tempered Iguana NFT from the OpenSea.io market, you own artwork that is part of much bigger project initiative. If the value of your NFT goes up you can hold, sell or trade it for other digital currencies or assets.

How do I purchase an Ill Tempered Iguana?

There are three categories of Ill Tempered Iguanas currently available: Dragons, Originals and Hatchlings.

Dragons are very limited and not available to the public for purchase. They are reserved for production and investor principles.

Originals are available for purchase through the open market on OpenSea.io. The initial minting price is set at 0.02 ETH. Prices may vary on the secondary sales market.

Hatchlings are numerous and offered at a lower price. These smaller digital pieces will be available on OpenSea.io.

Crabs are the iguanas sidekicks and partners in crime. They are just as angry but they typically just mimic the ill-temperedness of the iguanas and agree with anything they say. If it wasn't for the crabs, the Island of St. Drogo would be mess. They clean up.

Are Ill Tempered Iguanas considered collectibles or something else?

Collectibles, yes...something else, also yes...The Ill Tempered Iguanas project is offering a limited number of NFTs. Available to the public are 150 originals and 5,000 hatchlings. Every design is unique with some being more rare than others.
